These terms are the agreement between you and Layali for use of the Layali app and this website (together, "the service"). Please read them — they include limits on our liability and rules about virtual currency that affect your money.
The short version. Layali is 18+. Be decent to the people you meet. Coins and diamonds are a licence to use features inside the app, not money — they are non-refundable, cannot be cashed out, and are lost if your account is deleted. Sign-in is tied to your device, so losing the device or clearing the app's data means losing the account.
1. Accepting these terms
By creating an account or using the service you accept these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service. If you use Layali on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to accept these terms for it.
2. Who may use Layali
You must be 18 or older. You must also be legally able to enter a contract, and not be barred from using the service by the laws of your country or by a previous termination of your account by us. If we learn an account belongs to a minor, we remove it.
3. Your account
- One person, one account. Do not create accounts in bulk, sell or rent accounts, or use someone else's.
- Sign-in is tied to your device. There is no password or email recovery. If you clear the app's data, reinstall, or lose the device, the app creates a new identity and the previous account and its balance are not recoverable, including by us.
- You are responsible for what happens on your account, and for keeping your device secure.
- Accurate details. Do not impersonate anyone, and do not claim an age, identity or affiliation that is not yours.
4. Rules of conduct
Do not use Layali to do any of the following, on stream, on mic, in chat, or in your profile:
- sexual content involving minors, or any sexualisation of a minor — this results in immediate removal and referral to the authorities;
- nudity, sexual acts, or sexually explicit performance;
- threaten, harass, stalk, bully or intimidate anyone;
- hate speech, or attacks on people because of race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability or age;
- violence, self-harm, or content that glorifies either;
- illegal activity, including drugs, weapons, trafficking, gambling and fraud;
- share someone's private information, recordings or images without their consent;
- spam, scams, phishing, or promotion of other services without our permission;
- solicit money, gifts or payment outside the app, or offer to sell coins, diamonds or accounts;
- manipulate the gift economy, levels or rankings — including collusion, self-gifting rings and automated activity;
- reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with the service, its security, or its rate limits;
- infringe anyone's copyright, trademark or other rights, including playing music you do not have the right to broadcast.
Public chat runs through an automated content filter, and hosts and admins moderate their own rooms. Neither replaces this list: content the filter does not catch is still your responsibility.
5. Your content
You keep ownership of what you create — your profile, your messages, your streams. By posting it you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, transmit, display and reformat it, for the purpose of operating and promoting the service. That licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies we must keep for legal reasons and copies others already received.
You confirm you have the rights to everything you post. We may remove content that breaks these terms, and we may preserve content when the law requires it.
6. Coins and diamonds
Layali has two in-app balances, and neither is money:
- Diamonds are what you buy and spend on gifts.
- Coins are what you receive when someone sends you a gift.
Both are a limited, revocable, non-transferable licence to use features inside the app. Specifically:
- they have no cash value and are not a bank balance, deposit, credit or security;
- they are non-refundable once credited, except where the law requires otherwise;
- they cannot be transferred between accounts, sold, or exchanged outside the app;
- they are forfeited if you delete your account or we terminate it for breaking these terms;
- we may change gift prices, exchange ratios and the features a balance unlocks;
- if we discontinue the service, we will give reasonable notice so you can spend a remaining balance.
Your level rises with gifts you send and receive. Levels cannot be bought, traded, or restored, and we may reset a level obtained through manipulation.
Any payout programme for hosts, where one is offered, is governed by a separate agreement and is not part of these terms.
7. Purchases and refunds
All purchases go through the Apple App Store or Google Play, under their terms and their privacy policies. We never see or store your payment details. The price you see includes any tax the store collects for your country.
- Refunds are handled by the store, not by us. Request one from Apple or Google. We cannot reverse a store charge.
- If a purchase completes but the diamonds do not appear, reopen the top-up screen and tap Restore purchases. You will not be charged twice. If that does not resolve it, contact support with your user ID and the store receipt.
- Chargebacks. If a payment is reversed after we credited the balance, we may deduct the diamonds, and may suspend the account if it happens repeatedly.
8. Hosting a room or stream
If you open a party room or go live, you are responsible for what happens in it. You get tools for that — lock and mute seats, remove someone from the mic, promote admins, set a password, and keep a room blacklist. Use them. We may close a room or end a stream that breaks these terms, and we may hold the host responsible for knowingly allowing it.
Admins you promote act on your behalf. Choose them carefully.
9. Moderation and termination
Where content or behaviour breaks these terms, we may remove it, mute or remove someone from a mic, restrict features, withhold a balance obtained through manipulation, or suspend or terminate the account. Serious cases — anything involving a minor, credible threats, or illegal activity — are actioned immediately and may be reported to the authorities.
We aim to be proportionate and to tell you what happened. If you think we got it wrong, email support@layali.app with your user ID and we will review it.
You can stop using Layali at any time, and delete your account from Settings → Account actions. See what deletion does before you confirm.
10. Our intellectual property
The Layali app, this site, the name, logo, gift artwork, and the software behind them are ours or our licensors'. You get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app for its intended purpose. You may not copy, modify, distribute, decompile or create derivative works from it, or remove any notices, except where the law expressly allows it.
11. Third-party services
Parts of the service rely on providers including Agora (live audio and video), NetEase Yunxin (messaging), Alibaba Cloud (image storage), and Apple and Google (distribution and payment). Their terms apply to their part of the service, and we are not responsible for outages or changes on their side, though we will work to restore service.
12. Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not promise the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of objectionable content.
Layali is not a dating, escort or matchmaking service, and we do not verify users. We do not vet identity, age or intentions beyond what our moderation tools catch. Use your judgement, keep personal and financial details to yourself, and never send money to someone you met in a room. Any meeting outside the app is your decision and at your own risk.
Nothing here excludes rights you have under consumer law that cannot be excluded.
13. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Layali and its officers, employees and suppliers are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, lost balances, or the conduct of other users.
Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability for all claims arising from the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or USD 50.
You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your content or your breach of these terms.
14. Changes to the service and terms
We add, change and remove features as the app develops, and we may discontinue the service with reasonable notice. Features shown in earlier versions of the app or on this site may be retired.
We may update these terms. The date at the top changes, and for changes that materially affect your rights we will notify you in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use Layali after that means you accept the new terms; if you do not, delete your account.
15. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Layali is established, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and the courts of that jurisdiction have exclusive jurisdiction — except where the law of your country of residence gives you the right to bring a claim locally, which it may.
Before starting a formal dispute, please email us. Most problems are faster to fix that way.
If a provision of these terms is unenforceable, the rest stays in force. Our not enforcing a provision is not a waiver of it. These terms, with the Privacy Policy, are the whole agreement between us.
